This project sets out to renew the market, which is the backdrop for daily life and to provide shelter for a range of other community activities – such as cultural and leisure events. The notable market attracts and connects the community providing a point of local pride.

Together with the landscape proposals, the project aims to create a vibrant, greener, and importantly a more accessible public space that embodies the character of Lewisham and its diverse cultural identity.
